In Memory
Chris Motschenbacher
Tuesday Morning.
Cold yet heart warming.
Tears were falling all around.
Crying was the only sound.
We were told the story
and then with little glory,
a few let out a sigh
and then we all began to cry.
October the twenty-first
many of our hearts burst.
Sadness engulfed the town
yet, there is a warmth deep down.
The school has pulled together
though things have changed forever,
and everyone's goal for awhile
is just to make someone else smile.
For me to answer why Chris chose to die
could only be a far fetched lie
and everytime I wonder
I'll feel and hear the thunder.
Reasons may never be found
but as long as I walk this ground
everytime I hear his number
this sad day I will remember.
The number thirty-four
will make many hearts sore
and for years to come,
painful tears to some.
But the memories will last forever
and the pain...we will all endeavor
so this is to Chris
to whom we will all miss.
We will forget you....NEVER.
