Mindy Altenhof Parsons

I graduated from IU with degrees in Journalism & English. I married a Purdue grad (pathetic, I know, but he was an engineering major, so he had to...) My husband works for ExxonMobil, so we move around quite a bit- this is our 7th move, and in April we relocated to the middle east. We live in Qatar, which is a peninsula off of Saudi Arabia. We are enjoying it here, and have found it to be very safe and people are very friendly. It certainly clears up lots of misconceptions people have about the middle east- friends and family were mildly concerned that we would move here! It's quite beautiful, right on the Arabian Sea- I would highly recommend a visit here! Looking forward to spending summers in Indiana, and can't wait to catch up with everyone at the reunion!

Prety outgoing, I think- had way too much fun! Does anyone remember crazy Mr. Reiner?! He was insane! I remember him throwing chalk at me for talking to Mary Rodebaugh! He also chewed my butt for looking at the clock. (I think he may have thrown an eraser at me a time or two, also...) Very strange old man. Had a blast on spring break taking the Marine Biology trip to Florida. (I think it was Brad Miller- not sure- who got stung by jellyfish?) Good times! Probably the most fun was winning State in football. I just remember how hard the astro-turf was- ouch!

Probably the most important event event in my life are my 2 beautiful daughters. It's amazing how being a parent completely shifts your priorities in life- they are my whole world! :)

My children most definitely make me laugh- it's hysterical what can come out of children's mouths!
