My wife and I just returned from a trip to Malawi (Africa). We worked at an orphanage in Mzuzu for two weeks. The children we worked with were amazing. The average life span in Malawi is to mid 40's. Aids is the primary killer of adults and children. We worked for the Rafiki Foundation out of Eustis, Florida. They do a great job in about 12 countries, educating and raising the children in a Christ centered environment. This trip was a huge reality check on what is truely important in life.
What type of person were you in high school?:
Close-minded and shallow in some repects. I hope to think that I was kind, but I'm sure I could have done a better job. I didn't take school very seriously. But I do have to say that I did have a great circle of friends.
What do you like to do for fun?
The family and I enjoy camping and traveling. We homeschool our children and have plenty of field trips. Who would have thought history could be so cool. We enjoy visiting historical sites and seeing what our forefathers experienced.
Any particular event that stands out that has impacted your life the most?
Meeting God. Putting him first in my life and my family second has made the biggest impact in my life. Life is good.
