School Story:
"Your lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut!" How many times did we hear that?...... Had a great time playing football under Coach Mo and Briley, Smith left after my soph. yr. I sure did pity Greg Smith, his brother rode him like a mule. Had a great time with Elvin by my side, hitting hi and low taking em out. You think Miller still has that bullet arm. Demarest, Ruth and I had to go to work at the chow hall the next morning after the Saturday morning run. Benny, Keith, Ernest, Blue, Heath, Roberts, Decker, King, Toleson, Stanley, Greer, Gary Lee, Tommy C.... Yeah, that was a great time in my life.
Gosnell was not a large school but large enough to make us a close knit family, even if some of the fabric did move away early. We were and still are today, a tightly woven pattern sewn together by a common thread.
