I (Barry) received this from a niece of Roger in 2011:

Just to see what would appear, I performed a search for my uncle’s name: Roger Anderson, Grand Forks, ND, and found his high school picture for the GFC class of 1970 reunion. When I saw no information for him other than being deceased, I had to write because I wanted people to have knowledge of the man his family knew – a year too late for your reunion, but maybe for next time.

What can I say about my big uncle Roger?! His lighthearted, friendly manner made him enjoyable to be around – he was never cross, never angry, no ill-will or unkind word, but when he stroked his beard, you knew he had something on his mind (good or bad) - he was a kid at heart, and loved by everyone who knew him. I think about him every day and wish he were here to see how the Anderson family has grown.

He died of liver failure March 24, 1985 at the age of 33. He’s survived by his brother Duane, sister Marilyn, four nieces, and a nephew. Since his death, he’s been proceeded in death by his parents Kermith & Mildred Anderson.
