Matthew C. Wilcox, 39, 2316 Seventh Ave. N., Grand Forks, died Tuesday, July 28, 1992, at home.
Matthew C. Wilcox was born Sept. 19, 1952, the son of Stuart and Mary Wilcox, in Grand Forks, where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Central High School in 1970. He later graduated from UND. He was treasurer for Democratic District No. 42 for many years.
Survivors are his grandmother, Mary Butler, Grand Forks; and brother, James, Milwaukee.

I met Matt once while puting up campaign signs for my cousin. Matt told me the candidate was a jerk. The candidate spoke to Matt for about 30 minutes. I don't know if he changed his mind, but the voters of ND elected him and he still is our Attorney General,Wayne Stenhejem.
