Don was born on May 26, 1952 in Grand Forks, N.D. to George and Lillian (Randklev) Kiefat. He grew up in Grand Forks and attended West Elementary, Valley Jr. High and Central Senior high school. He worked a variety of jobs as a young adult until settling in on his passion as a truck driver. He spent years as a long haul driver going all over the country and as the years rolled on, he stayed closer to home as a company driver.

I added Donald as a guest when I posted his Obituary. I knew him from grade school, but he was not listed in our yearbook.
