Yikes, 20 years in a few paragraphs. I'll try not bore you (if anyone even reads this!). I went to college at Colorado State in beautiful Ft. Collins, CO. Majored in Exercise and Sport Science, minored in Nutrition. During college I fell in love with Colorado and decided I had no reason to leave. I moved to the Denver area and had various jobs in corporate wellness/health promotion. In 1996, I received my Master of Public Health degree. Worked at various jobs again -the state health department, a health insurance company, a health research institute and also taught health classes at Metro State College of Denver.

In 1998, I met Ture (pronouced like hurry, but with a "T") at a Rockies baseball game (we had a mutual friend). We got married at the end of 2000. We had Calvin in 2003 and haven't stopped moving since. Serves us right naming him Calvin -- he's just like the Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. He is the craziest kid - non-stop energy, part Evil Knievel, part Spider Man. We take bets on when his next ER visit will be. He's only 4 now, but we're pretty sure he'll be in the X-games by the time he's 12 and BASE jumping by the time he's 16.

Maggie, our daughter, was born in November 2006. She is super sweet and amazingly happy. We really were hoping for a calmer kid than Cal. While she may be a little calmer, she's still a daredevil. She tries to keep up with her big brother, and that's pretty tough for anyone, let alone a 17-month old.

We moved from the Denver area to Grand Junction in early 2007. Grand Junction is on the Western Slope of Colorado (near the Utah state line). My husband got a job as the Recreation Director for the City of Fruita (yeah, like that's a job!). Since living here, I have pretty much been a stay-at-home mom. While I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything -- it's tough work. I don't know how all of you with three or more kids do it. You're awesome. I can barely handle two.

We still love to hike, bike, run and camp but now we do it on much easier, kid-friendly terrain. Maybe sometime soon we can get back into climbing 14,000-foot mountains, but I doubt I could do it with a kid on my back.

Life in a smaller town (similar to Grand Forks) has been great for us. The mountain biking is amazing, hiking is right out our back door and beautiful views in every direction. Come visit if you want! John Bratteli and his wife and daughter live just a couple miles from us. You could see two 88 grads in one visit!

School Story

Reunion was AWESOME! It was so great to see you all. Can't wait for 25!

Football games, hockey games, hockey tournaments, Coach Berg's pep rally talks, the Pepper (I'd kill for a Grinder right now).
