I currently live in the house I grew up in, which was built by my grandparents in 1930. We have remodeled it twice, with the second remodel almost complete. I've been a paid-on-call firefighter for Ada Township since 1990 and I own two businesses: Thomet Construction and Thomet Stables. My father and I also have a business together called Thomet Farms which focuses on hay, oats and wheat.
I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children. While I love my work, the favorite part of my life is being a husband and father. I became a Christian in 2002 and my family and I attend Bella Vista Church in Rockford and are members of a small group from our church.
Our family loves to travel and in 2006 I went on my first mission trip to Haiti and loved the experience and would like to do more mission trips in the future. We feel very blessed to live the life we live.
