Judy Sanchez

After graduation I moved to Miami, Fl and attended International Fine Arts College. I then moved to Los Angeles, CA and received my BA from the American College for the Applied Arts.

In 1993 I gave birth to my only child, a beautiful, healthy daughter; Shaina. She has been a joy in my adult life and am proud to see her blossom into a beautiful young lady that will be off to college in 2012.

After Shaina was born I began my career in the Fashion industry as both Design Assistant and Fashion Designer for 9 years. In 2000 I decided to change my career totally and I began working with the Developmentally Disabled population.

I worked in the capacity of a Vocational Counselor/Case Manager, a Service Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator and currently as a SPD Disability Care Coordinator. My change in careers has been most rewarding and I love what do.

I have visited Grand Rapids since I moved away but mainly short stays to visit my family. But now it's our 25th Reunion and I didn't want to miss out on this reunion sooo as of July 27, 2011 I will be in Grand Rapids to kick off my reunion by 1st being with my family and then spend the weekend with my classmates of 1986 :-)

Is that 25 years????

My most fondest memories of High School really are those developed through UPWARD BOUND!!!!!!

School year was a school year but the experiences through Upward Bound out weigh all of that. I remember we had a Talent Show...New Addition performed (lol) then there was a tornado warning/watch and we all had to go in this room and sit under the tables. Once that was over, as we drove back, Bear (Hugh Martin Robinson) and I talked about camp and sang camp songs till we finally reached the dorms.

I am happy I was a part of that program and it really gave me some great memories I will carry for the rest of my life :-)
