Many good memories, a few sad. One that stands out is skipping school on the day JFK was assassinated, with ia few of my classmates. Because I provided a ride to 5 other girls, the ones that skipped and I had to watch our classmates all file into the chapel for prayers and wished we had never chosen that day to skip.
Fun memories include decorating the old '51 ford with CHS colors and GO CHRISTIAN BEAT SOUTH banners, riding the circuit downtown after winning, streamers flying, radio up............ and running a yellow light. We got pulled over but I didn't get a ticket. I'm not sure if a car full of teenage girls all crying had anything to do with it, or not.
