Lance could light up a room with his sense of play. Lance and I were sitting in the back of Ms. Smith advanced math class at Harrison Jr. High.   Lance was re-enacting the Twist o Flex watchband commercial with his own Twist of Flex watch.  Lance twisted it one way, then the other, and again entoning "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" when the watchband exploded, sending Twist o Flex pieces all over the back of the classroom.  The look on his face was priceless.  Oh the effort of holding in the laughter.   Lance would rise to any opportunity for laughter when he was my debate partner in high school.  He then found his true passion while announcing for "RIVIT RADIO" in the speech and debate room.    Will miss you Lance.  You brightened many of our lives.   Deb Turner Carney.

What a loss for our class and all who knew Lance. He brought joy and laughter to any situation!! As Deb said, he lit up any room he was in! He was always so kind. And what a voice he had as a broadcaster!! May his memory be a blessing!

Lance was a joy. Couldn't help smile around him. He cared for his family and his friends and even those he hadn't  even met yet.Lance was a good man. You will be missed my friend.

Lance had a character that was bigger than life. He drew people into his love of life and his personable presence will definitely leave a humbling void. Much love

Lance was a special person.  Im very proud to call him my friend.  We played football from junior high thur senior high.  I can remember in junior high when coach Bytle let him run the fotball in for a touchdown, me being the center I just wanted to get out of the way.  Lance was a duck hunter just like dad, I was able to go along those were special times that I will aways remember.  Thanks Lance for your friendship.
