Karla Kay Allford

Karla Kay Allford, aged 62, passed away on June 17th, 2024, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Karla was born on March 8th, 1962, in Hill City, Kansas to Donald and Rosalie (Billinger) Fabricius. She spent her formative years in Great Bend, Kansas and graduated from Great Bend High School. Continuing her education journey, she pursued studies at both Kansas State University and Wichita State University.

For 23 years, Karla dedicated herself as a Senior Drilling Engineering Technician at Chesapeake Energy before eventually retiring. In her retirement, she ventured into real estate by obtaining her real estate license and working as a realtor with Keller Williams.

On July 28th, 1984, Karla married her high school sweetheart, Evan Allford, in Great Bend, Kansas. Together they built a life that took them to Plano, Texas and Wichita, Kansas before finally settling in Edmond, Oklahoma in 1997. Their only daughter Abby Rosalie was born on March 1st, 1988.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Evan; loving daughter Abby Holley and son-in-law Rob Holley of Edmond; beloved mother Rosalie Fabricius of Great Bend; caring siblings Vicki Munsinger (Terry) of Wichita, Rhonda Brack (Scott) of Wichita, Tim Fabricius (Robin) of Bull Shoals, AR; brother-in-law Allan Allford (Debbie) of Scottsdale; nieces and nephews, Trent Munsinger, Katelyn Munsinger, Zachary Brack (Jessica), Taylor Brack, Chris Collicott , Josh Allford (Lauren), and Ben Allford.

Karla's father Donald and In-Laws Robert and Jenny Allford preceded her in death.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Karla will forever remember her infectious laugh and the light she brought into their lives. In honoring Karla's life and legacy, let us remember the joy she brought to those around her and love she shared. May we always remember her generous spirit and her love for life.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions made to the United Way of Oklahoma

So sad to hear this news. I remember Karla being a tremendously intelligent, fun and kind classmate. Condolences to Evan--who I believe was a year ahead of us and a talented member of Belles and Beaus--their daughter, Abby, and Karla's entire family.

To the family,

I was not close to Karla.  She was king of "out of my league".  What I do remember was her friendly smile, ability to be comfortable with all and her class spirit.  Rest in piece Karla.
