
For those of you those have not been made aware just yet, only a mere week ago our beloved classmate Jeff Hoyt passed away. It was so great to reconnect with Jeff one last time at the 20 Year Reunion. Even at this event, much like all throughout high school, Jeff was always so full of life and just fun to be around. Jeffrey Lynn Hoyt, 40, of Denver passed away Feb. 17, 2011, following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 4, 1970, in Laramie, the son of William Joseph and Janet Sue Cuthbertson Hoyt.
Hoyt attended schools in Green River and graduated from the Green High School with the class of 1989. He also graduated from Mesa State University in Grand Junction, Colo.
He was a member of Union Congregational Church in Green River, Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 1990 to 1992, ski patrol and Pikappa Alpha Fraternity.
Hoyt worked as a registered nurse for Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Denver for the past five years.
His interests included hiking, riding his mountain bike, rock climbing, golf, but nursing was his passion.
Survivors include his parents Bill and Janet Hoyt of Green River; one sister Jennifer Caspersen and her husband Jonathan of Tulsa, Okla., two nephews Luke and Jonah Caspersen, also of Tulsa, Okla.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Delbert and Mildred Cuthbertson and Lynn and Elsie Hoyt.
Following cremation, a memorial service will take place at a later date.
The family of Jeffrey Lynn Hoyt respectfully suggest that donations in his memory be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado, 234 Columbine Street, Suite 333, Denver, CO 80206.
