LILIAN SCHULER LERNER

After graduation, my family moved back to Brazil, my home country. I´ve been living here ever since.

I worked as an English teacher a bi-lingual secretary and then married Rogerio in 1987. In 88 we had our first child, a lovely girl, Deisy. In 91 came Laís another lovely girl. I´ve been a housewife ever since and enjoy every moment of it.
My relatives all live here too. My parents live right next door. I have a sister in the same city, and a brother in another state.
My husband´s family is big and we all are blessed for getting along so well.

Deisy is 21 and is studying Veterinarian Medicine in Porto Alegre, which is the capital of our state. She lives there during the week and comes home on most weekends.
Lais is 18 and is currently in Hopemills, North Carolina on a highschool interchange program. I love the american school system and always told them about how many opportunities we have there. She is loveing the experience. We´ll see what she chooses to do after that because she has so many talents: Sings, Dances, Plays in the orquestra, Violin and Draws very well too.

Brasil is a beautiful country. If Americans ran it, it would be touristically much more explored, but is lovely just the same. We have a wonderful life here, a very nice home and many activities.

My husband owns and runs an audio/video store and I often help him out there now that the girls are more independent.
I work 4 times a week at my religious center which is so very rewarding for me. We learn, we grow better and wiser and help others while we´re doing it.

Last year I started studying again. I´m taking Psycology at a local college just down the street. I have really found it soo meaningful and love being with all the young people again!
