Nancy Claar

I live just outside Chicago. I met my husband Chris through Ann Pierson (D'Angelo) who went to Northwestern University with him. I graduated from Denison University with a BA in Psychology and from the University of South Florida with an MBA (we lived in FL for 3 years). I currently work in Human Resources with the Newberry Library in Chicago, but moved into a part-time position after having my second child. It is the best job I have ever had and will ever have.

My favorite high school memories:

* Speed walking to Physics class with Dean Richmond in attempt to beat the tardy bell.

* Eating warm, just-baked chocolate chip cookies from the cafeteria during the 15 minute morning break.

* Classics with Mr. Price - the only class that I looked forward to!

* Eating lunch in the "girls" gym during the construction of the new cafeteria.

* Miss Arthur, during volleyball practice: "COMMENCE TO JOGGING!"

* Dressing up with Katherine Emery as the Bridgewater twins for the GHS Halloween party. We thought ourselves so original, only to be shunned by our GHS classmates for dressing as "ones from a rival school." School rivalry emotions run deep...
