School Story:
I will admit that it was me who spilled ammonium sulfate in Mrs. Stone's chemistry class. The class had to be evacuated and the smell went all down the hallway. The smell was a perfect 10 on the flatulence scale.
I also remember the Myrtle Beach trip. The couple next door was having REALLY good time. We all piled in my room and we treated to stereo surround sound. An educational experience for all.
I used to drive Bobby Pruitt home and we'd spend the next hour or two singing Stairway to Heaven and Kiss hits. I was asked my Mr. Shaw to go pick up his daughter from another school and bring her back. Remember Mr. Shaw? He drove a Jaguar! I was so excited. Unfortunately, he drove the janitor service truck that day.
I had the best time doing plays at Smith and downtown at Weaver. Discovered that people in theater much less inhibited. Got to work with and double-date with Beth Leavel who taught me so much about acting (she won best actress Tony a few years ago).
Now that the statutes of limitation are over, I can admit that I am the one who punched and broke Mr. Rubio's chalkboard, I rigged the projectors in Social Studies to explode when plugged in, and I am the one who borrowed Mrs. Jacke's Austen Martin. That's a load off.
And I still have a crush on 2 girls 30 years later...
