Cindy and I dated a couple of times during high school and kept in touch when I was at State and she was at UNC. I will always remember she gave me a 45 record: "Rhythm of the Rain" by The Cascades. It continues to be 1 of my favorite oldies. I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned she had died in an automobile accident near Chapel Hill ~1970 (I think).
Worked with Cindy on Western Conference MYF; had a lot of fun. She was involved in student government with Parker Dorm at UNC where we worked together again. She married Sam Kimel from Winston-Salem (he played basketball for Reynolds High). Crash was summer of 1974 on old highway 86.
Cindy will always be a special person to me. Her & Leslie Foushee Catlett & I went to church together. Talking with her and the whole group at the lockers is one of fondest memories I have. Love you.
