Obituary

Linda Whittaker Reilly, 71, of Midlothian, VA. passed away July 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Niles Whittaker and mother, Nancy Whittaker. She is survived by her sons, Shawn Kirk of Richmond, VA and Drew Kirk and his wife, Cassie Tran, and granddaughter, Nora Kirk, of Wlilmington, DE. Linda was born in Scranton, PA and spent most of her youth in Greensboro, NC. She moved to Richmond, VA to attend the MCV School of Occupational Therapy, and after graduation stayed in the area to begin her family. She spent the majority of her professional career at Retreat Hospital, where her skills as an OT improved the lives of many. Linda's two happy places were Smith Mountain Lake, where her parents had a vacation home for many years, and the Outer Banks (especially Stinson Ranch). Her warm spirit drew in others and she had a large group of friends that cared deeply about her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
