20th Reunion 2006

Hopefully everyone that was able to attend had a wonderful weekend!  We had a great turn-out for all three events!  The football game was a nice icebreaker and a good game with GHS winning 33-13 over High Point Central.  Wendy did a fantastic job with the National Anthem!  The school tour was very interesting.  Alot has changed since we were there.  Everything from outdoor classrooms, walkways, air conditioning & murals to student programs/clubs, testing, addition of 9th graders & activities  Grimsley is ranked 72 this year in the top 100 schools in the nation.

Saturday night, if I counted correctly, we had exactly 150 people attend! Good music, food, fellowship and fun!  Thanks to everyone, our donation for the "Class of 1986" to the school will be $500.00!!!!  Very impressive!

Please go to EXTRAS! menu for Reunion Photos!  Also go to the message board and post your comments from the Reunion!  What was most memorable to you?

Thanks for a great time!

A BIG Thank You to Leslie Estes Dully!  I could not have been able to pull this weekend off without her support.  She did a fantastic job in keeping up with your reservations/sponsorships and helping me find as many classmates as possible.  She helped me almost everyday for the last 3 months to make decisions and keep the ball rolling. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!  A shout out to her husband, Brian, for handling the money for walk-in registrations and drink tickets!!!  Thanks to my Greg for handling the nametags when you arrived!  Couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks to Sally Clark for arranging the band, working with the caterer, balloon duty, and help with set-up; Maury Kennedy for his database work and ideas; Wendy Starkand for locating classmates, singing the National Anthem and a couple songs with the band; Kelly Sham for working with Kress Terrace; Brooks Raiford organizing the postcards that were mailed and ideas; Cindy Lanning Hammer for connecting with the caterer, ideas and placing an ad in the Rhino Times.  Also, thanks to everyone that has sent me their current info and has forwarded information to other class members!  You all are the best!! --CBM
