I've been trying for months to figure out what to say on this page, and although I still can't find the right words, the truth is I probably never will, and she was so much more than an empty page.

Crystal was smart, she was talented and she worked very hard, but those aren't the first things that come to mind when I think of her. Crystal was one of the most compassionate and giving people I've ever known. She always thought of others before thinking of herself. She never dwelled on the things she was going through but instead, looked to help others. She was also shy, sweet and very funny.

I remember her smile, her laugh, the many notes we sent back and forth in classes and in between, hers always full of encouragement to help me deal with something, or more often, someone. She was always supportive. I think she believed in me far more than I believed in myself.

Crystal was one of my closest friends in high school. Unfortunately our friendship never continued beyond Grimsley and I don't know much about her life after graduation. That loss of contact is one of many regrets I have. She was such a beautiful person and I do believe if she were still here, she would be helping and encouraging others, with a shy smile, and asking for nothing in return.

Crystal was one of the most beautiful people I knew in high school. From time to time, I always wondered what happened to her and wished her the best in life. As Melanie stated above, she was so smart and shy. Thank god for her as she got me through Spanish II. As I was also a shy kid, I never got up the nerve to ask her to the movies, and after reading this, I wish I had had.
