Cathy Lynn "Cat" Blake died Dec. 1, 2004 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Dr. Tannenbaum and Dr. Sherrill were her doctors during her illness.

For many years, Cat worked for the auto parts industry, including 20+ years as manager for Carquest on Grecade and most recently before her death as manager of NAPA Auto Parts on Battleground Ave.

Cat was an avid animal lover and a huge Carolina fan.

She was at Cone in the MICU during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be sent to the Guilford County Animal Shelter or American Cancer Society Kidney Cancer Fund.
