ROANOKE, VA — Daniel (Danny) Scott Leonard, 51, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010, in Roanoke. Danny was born April 7, 1959 in Oil City, Pa. He was preceded in death by sister, Judy Leonard, and father, William A. Leonard. He is survived by his mother, Ann Leonard, of Greensboro; his children Bryan & Nic, sons of Madeena Leonard, & Zack, son of Becky Leonard; brothers Bill, Mike, Tommy, Robert and Chris Leonard; sisters Susan Lowe, Carol Vaughan, Barbara Braswell; along with a daughter-in-law, many sister- and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, the Steele family and friends. Danny loved to coach little league baseball while his sons were growing up. Most recently, he spent his time caring for his dog, Bubba. Danny was a devoted son, loving father, and selfless friend. A viewing will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. followed by a memorial service Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10 a.m., both at Oakey's Downtown Roanoke on Church Avenue.
