I knew Cat pretty well in high school -- we were in GYC together and several classes. She was pretty quiet but I got to see her fun side at a couple of functions with GYC. I am very sad to learn we have lost her. I also knew her sister Sandy who is a year ahead of us and I hope she is doing well.

Cat died in 2005 from cancer. She married Bobby Smith after college and they had two sons. She graduated from Duke and lived several years in Wilmington, NC. She had moved back to Greensboro at the time of her death.

I have so many happy memories of her. She was quiet, but had a great sense of humor too. She was always thoughtful and caring. I know she made me a better person when I was around her. Her faith was strong so I know she lives in a happier place now, free from pain and suffering. She was a wonderful friend and I miss her.

Her sister Sandy was a customer at The Court of 2 Sisters in New Orleans in 1982, big surprise. I waited on her and her husband. I am so sorry to hear about Cathy
