HIGH POINT — Julie McGehee-Oldani, 41, of High Point, NC died peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning surrounded by her husband, parents, family and friends.

She had fiercely and bravely fought breast cancer and its complications for five years. Julie now sits at Jesus' feet and is in her mansion in heaven.

Funeral Will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Shelton and Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Julie made a deep and lasting impact on every person that was lucky enough to come into contact with her and she never met a stranger. She was a loving and wildly devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her bright smile and twinkle in her eye was as contagious as it was beautiful. She was an extremely talented artist who could and would turn anything into a masterpiece.

Julie graduated from Page High School in 1988 and later graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1994. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC.

She is survived by her loving husband of eleven years and the true love of her life, Norbert "Butch" Oldani of the home; her parents, Robert and Mae McGehee of Greensboro; her sister, Hope Marsh and husband Allan of Greensboro; her beloved nephews, Brandon and Joshua Caison of Greensboro; her husband's father, Norbert Oldani and wife Delia of North Branch, MI; her husband's mother, Nancy Morris and husband Randy of Randleman; her husband's sister, Ellen Oldani of North Branch, MI; her namesake and joy, Juleigh Paige Harris of Greensboro; her Boobaloops, Brittany Mae Smith of VA and beloved friends that are far too numerous to list. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Lonie Morris and her paternal grandparents, Claude and Clara McGehee.

Julie always considered her precious pets to be her children. She has left behind Tytanium and Sweet Pea, but she now plays again with Junior, Mia, Chandler, Roscoe and countless other beloved pets.

The family and friends would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Peter Rubin, Christine Scherer, Amy, Keisha and everyone at both the Cancer Center of Wesley Long Hospital and Hospice of the Piedmont. Their care and counsel meant so much to us all.

The family will receive from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the church (4635 Hicone Road)

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Julie's name to Ivy's wig shop of Wesley Long Hospital or the Susan G. Koeman Cancer Research Foundation. It was always Julie's greatest wish that the cure for cancer would be found and in her memory we hope to help make that a possibility.

Julie was one of my closest friends in school.  I've missed not

being able to reconnect with her.  I'm happy to see she was trusting

in the Lord Jesus when she died.  May her family continue to receive

peace and comfort from the Lord.
