Laura Magistro Wells

I graduated from Duke University in 1993, and then got my Masters in Social Work from UNC-CH in 1997 and married my college sweetheart in 1998. I worked as an LCSW with children with special needs and their families in a healthcare setting for 10 years. When we adopted our second child, Julia, in 2007 I quit my job to be at home. I currently work as a contract social worker doing adoption home studies. I am also the President of the board for Friends of L'Arche Atlanta and we are working hard to open a community here in Atlanta. L'Arche is a faith-based community where people with and without developmental disabilities live together and share their lives together. I lived in L'Arche after college for a year in Scotland and was very inspired and humbled.

I loved singing in the Page Ensemble and have many fond memories of concerts we gave and trips we took. I always loved Friday night football games and driving around trying to find where the party was in Greensboro.
