Thomas Compton

Graduated from NCSU in Electrical Engineering. Went to work for Duke Power in Greenville, SC. Was there for 5 years until I was transferred to Charlotte in 1990. Still there and still working for Duke (except it's Duke Energy now). I have 4 tremendous kids. The oldest is 22 and graduated from NCSU with a degree in Civil Engineering. He lives in Raleigh and is getting married in December. My other son is a freshman at Campbell University studying Criminal Justice. Oldest daughter is Jr in high school (very good at writing poetry - not sure where that talent came from) and my youngest is in 8th grade (she is doing competitive cheerleading).

I am the shortest male in the family now. My oldest is 6-4 and the other son is 6-5. They blew past me around the 9th grade.

I have spent many years coaching the kids in baseball (tball all the way thru high school). That has wound down now and I miss it. Baseball has been replaced by attending orchestra performances for my daughter and gymnastics/cheer competitions for my youngest.

I love photography and hope to develop and broaden my horizons there at some point in the future.

I'm an XBOX LIVE fanatic. Thankfully, I found a group of mature gamers about 4 years ago that allows me to get rid of frustrations (something about throwing hand grenades after a long day at work) without having to listen to foul mouth 10 year olds.
