Roscoe B. Bean Sr.

   Funeral services for R.B. Bean Sr., 73 years old of Lake Village, Ark., and formerly of Greenville, will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville. He died Monday, December 23, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
   R.B. was born November 18, 1940, in Shaw, Miss., to Carlos and Dorothy Bean. He was a lifelong resident of Greenville, where he grew up, attended school, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1959. He was owner and operator of Bean's Auto Supply in Greenville until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Dorothy Bean; his brother, Carlos Bean Jr.; and his sister, Linda Pritchett.
   He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha Bean of Lake Village, Ark.; his son, Roscoe B. "Bo" Bean Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; his granddaughter, Rowan Bean of Memphis, Tenn.; and three sisters, Barbara Marcon of Jackson, Tenn.; Jeannette Henshaw of Huntsville, Ala.; and Daphne Bean of Southaven, Miss. He is also survived by eight nephews and four nieces, including Ray Pritchett, who was a longtime employee of Bean's Auto Supply.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Hospice Home Care in Monticello, Ark.

   Rev. Andy Connard will officiate the services.
