So sad to hear of Neil passing away. I am also very sorry that I did not take the time to drive just a few miles up the road to Cleveland to try and see Neal when we were all together for our reunion.
Neal and I had a long phone conversation this past Dec 21. He was very interested in all who attended/did not attend our class reunion. Our reminiscent conversation hopefully served him well as he pictured each of you in his mind and heart.
CLEVELAND — Memorial services for Neal Doniphan Rogers Jr., 68, of Cleveland will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland. He died Dec. 26, 2009, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Arrangements are under the direction of Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Neal was born in Greenville on Feb. 1, 1941, to Neal Doniphan Rogers Sr. and Helen L. Kulicka Rogers.
He is preceded in death by his son, Neal Doniphan Rogers III.
He is survived by three daughters, Rachael Renee Rogers Powers of Lexington, Tenn., Nancy Leigh Rogers Foster of Kearney, Neb. and Laura Ann Rogers Whatley of Cleveland; a brother, Charles Frederick (Fritz) Rogers of Roswell, Ga.; a sister Helen Diane Rogers Ryan of Madison; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. preceding the service.
