Lynda Watson Dickerson

I am enjoying being retired but I am working part time for a friend who gives me very flexible hours. This enables me to see grandchildren (4 of them)and travel when I want. I hope having this website will keep us all in close contact and bring us back "home" once in a while.
I spend much of my time volunteering and working with the garden clubs of Greenville. I serve on the Keep Greenville Beautiful Committee and the Mainstreet Association. Recently I challenged myself to complete and pass Landscape Design School offered through The National Garden Clubs. I have found that it is a serious challenge for I have not been in the classroom for over 40 years. Studying and retaining comes a lot harder these days. Keep your fingers crossed that I pass.

Hooray, just got the notice today (8-27-10) that I passed. It's official. I'm a landscape design consultant.

Not a particular story. I,for one, enjoyed HS. Changing classes and talking in the halls. 10 min. break between 2nd and 3rd period. Lunch hour conversations. Thinking about our teachers, I know women and men like that are not in the schools anymore. They were golden years. we were all lucky to be a part of.
