Diane Lane Benson

My life has been a book with many chapters. I have had a wonderful career of Interior Design. When my spouse died I had to get a job with benefits so I got a job with the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America. I was 61 when they hired me, and being tied to an office is no fun, but I am very thankful to have a job. I have a beautiful granddaughter who will soon be 18 yrs old. She has 2 brothers, 13 and 8. Margaret had a little boy when she was 38. They live near me so I see a lot of them, and the baby is a delight.
Before my spouse died we did a lot of traveling. We spent 6 weeks in Jan. and Feb. in Mexico on the Pacific coast. We loved it there and had lots of fun.

The best part of school was the closeness of all my friends. We had the best time. I can taste a Buehler burger now. Gathering at the Fountain Terrace was always great. The dances and parties are great memories.
Eddie Miller was the greatest guy I have ever known. He was such a good person. I still think of him often with the fondest memories.
Remember all the good times we had on Lake Ferguson? The water skiing, the sandbars, swimming, smoking cigarettes and drinking beer. Life was good.
Carlyn, I have great memories of the Nashoba County Fair. What a great time we had.
Vicki and Franky, we had such great fun. You two kept me busy covering for you with your boyfriends.
Elinor, we had a great time. Remember you trying to teach me how to drive a stick. Not a pretty picture.
Nancy, I have wonderful memories of us.
Seems like we had it all, and the older I get the more I appreciate our high school years.
I wish my grandchildren could experience the safe fun we had.
