LELAND — Funeral services for Carolyn Faye Fulford, 62, of Leland will be at 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Nov. 5, 2009, in Greenville. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Carolyn was born July 1, 1947, in Greenwood to James and Georgia Bell Campbell. She moved to Greenville at an early age with her family where she grew up and attended school and graduated form Greenville High School. After graduating high school, she went on to attend nursing college. She was a nurse at The Children’s Clinic for 17 years and then was a nurse for Dr. Blaylock for 17 years until ill health forced her to retire.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Campbell, and her daughter, April Carol Belue.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Fulford of Leland; her mother, Georgia Bell Campbell of Greenville; her son, Freddie Wayne Belue II and his wife, Raven, of Greenville; her brother, James F. “Jimmy” Campbell and his wife, Pat, of Dothan, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Alex Belue and Katelyn Belue.

When I saw this memoriam, my heart felt heavy and I have felt that way for two weeks now. I will write more later but can not seem to put into words what I want to say. Carlyn was special and I did not spell her name incorrectly. She said her name was actually spelled without the "o".
