Graveside services for George Walter Farr, 63, of Natchez, and formerly of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. He died November 13, 2010, in Natchez. Burial will be under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Farr grew up in Greenville and received his BA and MA in chemistry from Mississippi State University.
He is survived by his son George Farr Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; his mother, Alice Farr of Greenville; two brothers, Barry Farr of Charlottesville, VA and Brian Farr of Charlotte, NC; and a sister, Celia Wood of Crystal Springs.

i regret this late message on my beloved classmate. George and I ran cross country during jr. high track before the track season. we ran from his home to half way toward leland along hwy 82. it was cold in february and march. he was part of the jr high mile relay team with robin, claudie, and me. he gave everything he got when he ran the 880 and 220 events. i'm saddened to know his past on.
