MSgt Ronald Keith Hartley, Jr. (USAF Ret.), a resident of Midland City, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at his residence. He was 70 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hartley was born September 7, 1947 in Indianola, Mississippi and lived the early part of his life in Greenville, MS. Following his high school graduation in 1965, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for over 20 years retiring in 1985. He loved to cook for his family and friends and was an avid Alabama Football Fan. He also enjoyed playing golf, and fishing. Mr. Hartley was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hartley; sons, Timothy (Chasity) Hartley and Travis (Tasha) Dean; a daughter, Angela (Chris) Jackson; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pam (Mike) Adams; a niece, Jennifer Adams; a nephew, Lt Col Jason Adams.
