James Edwin Johnsey, 22, a tankerman on the J. E. Vickers of the Vickers Towing Company died in Baton Rouge General Hospital Wednesday night.

He was one of two crewmen burned in a flash fire on the vessel at the Humble Oil Company's Baton Rouge, LA dock, July 19.

Johnsey suffered burns on 45 per cent of his body, and another crewman, Bennie Box, 20, of Air Base Road, a deckhand, sustained burns on 20 per cent of his body in the fire.  It broke out while the men were finishing the loading of a barge.  Both men were reported to have received second degree burns.

Mr. Johnsey was born in Greenville, attended school here, and lived his entire life in this city.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. R. N. Jones; his stepfather, R. N. Jones of Greenville; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Trotman of Greenville; and a sister, Mrs. Howard Kisper Jr., of Natchez.
