CLARKSDALE - Funeral services for Bill Pounds, 60, of Clarksdale and formerly of Greenville, a salesman for Corso Distributing Co., will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church, Clarksdale. He died Nov. 30, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of National Funeral Home, Clarksdale.
Bill was born July 10, 1945, in Greenville to the late Clytie Grissett and Ban E. Pounds. He graduated from Greenville High School.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Pounds.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gentry Pounds of Clarksdale; a daughter, Kim Pounds Peeples of Midland, Texas; a sister, Jennie Hill of Greenville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at National Funeral Home, Clarksdale.
The Rev. Wade McCarley, the Rev. Luther Price, the Rev. Mike Thompson and the Rev. Daniel Woodard will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Riverside Baptist Church Building Fund.
