He is survived by two children, Jerri Ann Swift and John Dean Swift. He also leaves three sisters Etta Cox (Charles Cox), Debbie Kozielski (Eddie Kozielski), and Mary Beth Cobb (Artie Cobb).
Leon attended Greenville High School and graduated in 1965. He served in the Headquarters 4392D Supply Squadron at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He was made Sargent on May 27, 1968.
A celebration of life in memory of Leon will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Italian Club in Greenville, MS.
