Yes Kenny, the food was fabulous. I didn't get to see you because I arrived after all the music had ended. They were taking the table cloths off of the tables and I got the last of the delicious ribs. Sorry I missed the music. I was looking forward to hearing at least 30 min of music because it was suppose to last until 6 pm. I got there at 5:20 and it was all over. Oh well....next year!

I read a joke in our weekly church newsletter and thought it was worth sharing... It is too funny..
Here goes: Three boys are in the school yard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, "My dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50. The second boy says, "That's nothing, my dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song, they give him $100." The third boys says, "I got you both beat. My dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon, and it takes eight people to collect all the money!"

Here is a fun video made by a couple of teenagers in Los Angeles earlier this month. I am mentoring one of these young men in the art of crossword puzzle construction. I had no idea what else he was up to.

Enjoy

P.S. - Re Kenny McNeill: I spoke to the owner of a Dallas real estate firm Thursday and confirmed that an inactive agent with his company named Ken McNeal is in his late 50's and used to live in Plano. The owner told me that he would get in touch with Ken and give him my phone numbers. I followed that up yesterday with an email and today with a voice mail. I have heard nothing from Kenny or the real estate firm owner.

George,

"The Hill" was great, can't wait to bring you and Jenny. We saw St Ambrose Roman Catholic Church. It had a great statue out front. It was the Italian & Lebanese Immigrant statue. Well I may be ablibbing (sp) a bit here in reference to the latter immigrants! We had lunch at Milo's Tavern. Went to Mama Campisi's, the birthplace of toasted ravioli. We learned this was the neighborhood where baseball greats Joe Garagiola & Yogi Berra grew up. They even worked as waiters when they were kids. The Missouri Bakery had great sweets. Finished with dinner at Giovanni's. We set close to the exit---seems I have heard that name synonymous with "The God Father"!

Gloria,

We will probably check out the museum, and don't know what else, but thanks for the info. May check out the flood museum too, although my 15 yr. old isn't interested in museums much.

Mike

Ladies,
Thanks for the invite on wives of graduates for lunch Sat. I'll check, and see if Linda wants to do that. We were talking about going to Tabbs for lunch, but she might like to spend time with some females.

Michael: I know that your 15 year old son will enjoy the Greenville History Museum, especially when dad tells him about all the stuff and memories that goes along with it. Benjie Nelken has done a fabulous job in putting it all together in a storytelling way. It is one of the greatest sites to see in Greenville. Benjie has a donation box at the entry but donations are optional. He just enjoys seeing people "ooh and ahaa" over everything and Benjie has a wealth of knowledge in his head about Greenville. Check out the Greenville website...www.greenville.ms.us. Click on Visiting Greenville in the upper right column and read the article that Benjie wrote "About Greenville". It is great. P.S. I took the pics.....The pic of the alluvial soil is the farm land of the Bell Plantation near the Power Plant on Hwy 82. It was taken from the top of the levee after the Bell brothers got through breaking up their fields. It is definitely lovely Delta Dirt!

Marilyn,

How's everything going? I don't know where George "Da Man" is and I am quite sure Susan has been overwhelmed. It's getting close though and I think Kenny may be right in his overall assessment! Not about ugly people but nerves and tension!

Good afternoon. I, too, am trying to get all of my work done so that I can be off for a few days.

As it turns out, Larry and I will be able to attend Happy Hour Saturday night. That's it---one little hour, but at least we will be able to say Hello. That is our plan as of now, but we will not be leaving Nashville until about 8:00 a.m. Saturday and we can't be sure how long the trip will take with all our kids and their kids in tow. Our plan is to drop them all off at the hotel and then head to Happy Hour, which I'm sure we will need.

Y'all have a great weekend. See you soon.

Hope some Saint Joe folks will come after Donnie and Carol's wonderful get together 'cause I want to visit with you, also. I want to visit with you and Carol Donnie so ...... Saint Joe, load up and come on.

Bill Carroll.....please tell me that you are coming:)

Ken Ibsen

Nancy - Bill Carroll aka "Rooster" is not responding to emails which is no surprise. Guess I'll try to call him one more time and try to shame him into coming. I saw his older sister Melissa the other day and when I asked her if Bill was coming, she just shrugged her shoulders. His cell number is 972-603-8400. Maybe if Moyse or Gator called him he would show up???
