Jobana Gaye Larson (Frey)

We are getting a thunderstorm. My Red is afraid of thunder,
Kathy Chism: I have two red dogs, both are walk-ups. They are both "grinners". Dog lovers know what it is like to have a dog grin at you when you come home. Smiley came first and lived a year on cornbread made with bacon fat. She did not like us and was very afraid to be touched. Red is from one of our hired hands and drug a chain up for the first two weeks every day until Arie Lee decided that I could have him. Lost the chain and then got fixed the next day.

My boys tell all their guy friends 'Dont hang around Mama to long or she will get you fixed".
Night.

Jobana, I can identify with what your wrote as I have two sons who are as differnet as night and day. One is a loner and the other is Mr. Sociable! But they get along great and are only 20 months apart in age. Then I have a daughter who is just like me...imagine that. Our differences is what makes things so much fun, don't you think? See you tomorrow night!!

Jobana - My children are the same. Sulee is very outgoing, and never meets a stranger! Tripp is very much to himself.........If it doesn't involve football, track, hunting or fishing, he's really not interested. Though he does have a great sense of humor. I do have to say that God really, really blessed Jim and I with a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law. Jill (Tripp's wife) is working on her doctorate, so she is coming back and forth from Southern, and their life is sort of chaotic now. Sulee and Brian live in Cleveland. She teaches third grade and he is marketing director for the Boliver County Chamber of Commerce. I really hope if I ever get to retire that Jim and I move to CLeveland. Brian's parents live there, and Sulee and Brian are really happy there, too!

Tripp has a weirmeraner(sp)that is really our grandchild, and I am very sure that no human grandchild that my children will give us will be as well behaved as Chance. Tipp got him 10 years ago from a man in Belzoni, and is truly a part of our family. Sulee has a cocker spaniel that is wild, and her baby will probably take after him!

Don't you love the Ipod! I learned to program it so that when I am on the treadmill the last song ends when I have done my workout!

Jobana Gaye Larson (Frey)

I'm going to program mine to walk on the treadmill for me while I listen to music.

Kenny, thanks for the info about my picture. I don't know why I thought it was Doug back then because I typed those names on there not too long after I took the pics. They were playing in front of what was then Sunflower on Reed Road. My sister Connie and I both had terrible crushes on Donnie. How funny!! Might just consider seeing what it will bring on Ebay. Thanks again. Becky

We have a mutt that George/Jenny Sherman found in the country..a big 'Benji' (the movie dog) look alike..Buddy sleeps in the bed with us but still likes to roll in the dirt..bad combination.
Our other dog Minnie is technically my neighbor's dog(Daschund). She burrowed under the fence and spent so much time with us that when her parents moved they gave us primary custody and they retained visitation rights. Since they haven't seen her in years and we have through her geriatric period, I think she is officially ours.
Everyone should have dogs. Except for my son and daughter-in-law who have an annoying little Boston Terrier.

Off to Greenville. See y'all this weekend:) MPA

I was just thinking about what will happen to this forum after the reunion. I suppose it will go away? Sad. Some of us are keeping in touch by using Facebook.

Dogs and Kids and Grandkids. Oh my God. Somewhere it says, "Children are like arrows in the quiver and blessed is the person who has a quiver full." Well, Mitzi and I have two quivers full. 6 kids, 6 grandchildren and we have three Golden Retrievers and one Boxer. One of the GR's grins from ear to ear. It is the funniest thing. I had never seen a dog grin before. If you say, "Lexie smile!" she will show her teeth. Funny. And, the other two are terrified of thunder. They can hear thunder in Shreveport. We know when a storm is coming before the people at The Weather Channel.

Mitzi, Billy and I are going to leave in the morning as soon as Billy can get over here. I think he wants to play golf tomorrow...if any of you are up for it. Really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks Mike, yal be safe as well. See you there.'

Phil, that is some very good news. Thank you. Thank you, Reunion Committee. You have done a superb job with this event. I know there has been a ton of planning, making arrangements, phone calls, emails and other behind-the-scenes things that had to be done. This webpage has been tremendous. So many brought together by so few...thanks.

I also heard someone say that there is a possibility that we could have another reunion in 5 years. I am so in favor of that. I wish we could have something even more often AND I don't see why not. We could all gather at Gator's Farm and he could cook up some of those steaks (that he showed us on his profile)at least once a year. The Greenville Kids Slowdown and Hootnanny. We could have music, dancing, things for the kids (what kids), games, Kareoke, contests, anything the committee would allow.

See you guys Friday.
