I can't tell you how often I think of David. He was a very special man and a very good friend to me. I will always miss him. He left this world way too early.
So many memories of David, spanning so many years. Though we were cousins, we were closer than brothers. We wore the same uniform, as our fathers before us, wore the same badge, fought the same fights, lived together, laughed together. The day we lost David, we lost a part of ourselves. We have only memories of the good who die young. David lives in the hearts of those who were closest to him; and, we will remember him always.
For David, Elmer and Dad, brothers in blue, who wore the badge of courage, dignity and integrity:
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9
David you were such a super individual. I loved you for the kind, decent person that you were. What do they say? Oh yes--the GOOD die young. You were the BEST!!

David left us too soon. I loved the man as a brother and David as long as I live, you will live in my heart too. Thanks for all of the great times we shared. David was the kid bother to me...Jerry and I hung out together and David was, well, the kid brother. He was just the most decent person. Humble. He had the most terrific grin...his entire face grinned. This world is less without David.
