Allen was a great friend of mine. he was
a GHS band drummer.I stopped at allens house as I saw him sitting in the carport. We had a long talk about everything on our minds.thats when he told me that he did't have long to live. He then gave me his set of golf
clubs he used when he used to play.I told him That I did,nt play at all, and he said well they are to remember him by. about 3 weeks later I heard that he had Passed away from a brain Tumer ( cancer)He never told me what was wrong with him andI never asked. I heard this from some of his family. I think of him offen, and his big smile as we marched down washington ave. in the band.
I miss him and will never forget things we did.

Allen was very good friend of mine. Even when we were in college we stayed in touch and got together time to time. When I heard about his illness, I called Allen, he was in the hospital and we had a brief conversation. He passed away a short time after our conversation. Allen was very close to his parents and was a model son. I sure miss my friend and I think about him often.

I was walking through a hall at Kings Daughters the last time I saw Allen. He was in a wheelchair and obviously very ill. He smiled at me and tried to be upbeat as we talked. I told him that I had never seen anybody hit a golfball the way he could. He liked that, I think. He died shortly thereafter. Allen was just this tall, light and handsome guy...terrific smile and always just so neat to be around. I still can't believe he is gone.
