Celeste died with cancer in 2006. She was a sweet, kind and quiet girl. She was a wonderful mother and made beautiful birthday cakes. She attended the 30th reunion and enjoyed it very much. Miss you and love you.
I had not heard that Celeste had died in 2006 and did not learn of it until I read on this website. Albeit I had graduated from St. Joe's in Jackson, I had the privilege of reconnecting with St.Joe Greenville's class of 69 at the 30th reunion. At that time I saw Celeste. It seemed as if time time had not intervened and I felt like I had come home to those who had shaped my life through a shared childhood of great memories.
I did not know Celeste very well. She was the essence of "go about your business quietly." Always so sweet and pleasant. I was in a store and heard cans crash to the floor on the next isle. I turned the corner and there was Celeste with both of her hands over her face. :) She had reached for a can and they had all fallen. Sweet. She is being missed.

Very quiet girl that lived at the end of my street, Wanda Drive. I am sorry you had to leave this world so early. God rest your soul!Jane Sherman (Henry)
