Al was killed in a car accident March 20,2000. He was married to Ladell Sherman and they were the proud parents of Karen and Lisa. Ladell died March 7, 1999 of breast cancer. Al was a great man, husband and father.
Al Crawford. The Quiet Gentleman. I use to go by Stein Mart in Hattiesburg and visit with Al. He seemed always glad to see me and even though I know he was busy being the store manager, he always took time out to talk. After his wife died, Al was not the same. He always seemed sad and displaced. He showed me what grief looked like. I went in the store not long ago and he was not there. Although it has been some years, it still seemed odd. I really miss Al.
