Jeannette, the twin without the freckle?, and Annette --two of the friendliest girls in our class. I can still see their smiling faces. Heaven grows ever richer.
A true Southern lady, Jeanette was well-known in her church and community for her delightful hospitality and devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her home served through the years as a place of grace and refuge for her many friends and loved ones. She enjoyed international travel with her beloved "Freddie" and made new friends everywhere she went. She will be always remembered for her delicious cooking, open and inviting heart, and her ability to see the good in every soul.
She is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Almeda Doyle.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Fred Wells; daughters, Jennie (Mark) Breslin and Betsy (Chuck) Stokes; son, Houston (Brenda) Wells; grandchildren, Rachel and Sara Breslin, Garrison, Solomon, and Isaac Wells, Charlie and Claire Ellen Stokes; twin sister, Annette Smith; brother, James Doyle; extended family and many friends.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
