John Stanley Polson, 53, died Sunday, June 6, 1999, in Mayersville. A lifelong resident of Greenville, he was born July 11, 1945. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and Delta State University. He was a retired school teacher for Greenville Public Schools. He was a Baptist.
Graveside services were Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville with the Rev. Jay Richardson officiating. Mortimer Funeral Home of Greenville was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Cora Ann Polson of Tupelo; two sons, John David Polson of Shreveport, La., and Stanley Gardner Polson of Tupelo; one sister, Linda Polson Owens of Metcalfe; two brothers, William Robert Polson and Howard Ervin Polson, both of Jackson.
Memorials may be made to the Washington School, 1605 E. Reed Road, Greenville, Miss. 38701.
