Tommy was a great friend and good guy. Son of Hodding Carter, Sr. (the owner of the Delta Democrat Times and author of "Robert E Lee, The Road to Honor") Tommy died in 1964 at Tulane in New Orleanes. It was a tragic accidential shooting after a party with pistol that was supposed to be unloaded. He left us too young. He and I had some fun times together and were friends before he left for a private school sometime before high school. We partied hard when he came back into town. I think about him at times. They had that big mansion south of Greenville with the swans on the pond in front of the house.
