Betty and I have 5 grandchildren.

I worked at Sandia National Labs for 36 years, retiring in October 2004. Prior to that, I taught 3 years at ETSU (now in the A & M system).

At Sandia I had numerous jobs in the central computing group, primarily high-speed networking and very-large-scale computers.

Betty and I moved to Albuquerque NM in January 1968 from Commerce TX.

Just my wife and soulmate, Betty.

I have a sister not far from Greenville.

We set aside time to do things, mostly travel, a little each year as we raised the children and after they left home. I wanted to go to all 50 states, which I accomplished when we went to Alaska in 2005. We've been to several countries in Europe, Japan, and of course, Canada. Right now our travels are in the contiguous 48 states, mostly in an RV.

We had always wanted to dance, so we took lessons and were dancing fools for a few years. A bit of back surgery for each of us this year has slowed that down, but maybe we'll get back to the dance floor soon.

There is still a lot to look forward to, but at the moment we don't have a passion about any destination or activity that would be noteworthy.
