Hey! I have just found the site, thanks to Tammy McCrae and Sandra (who had given the info to Brenda a couple of months ago--I lost it)and Melissa. She is working on contacting Dannett. I only have one question: Is there a date for the reunion? If so, I missed seeing it on the reunion details page. It was fun to visit the profiles and find out how everyone is. If I can help, please let me know.

Beth there isn't a date for the reunion set yet. We are planing for this spring. We have been concentrating on locating everyone which seems to be going pretty good now. Definite plans for the reunion will probably begin in a Feb. after we see what everyone wants through the survey.

Hey everyone!! I couldn't believe it when my brother-in-law who works at Whirlpool told me that Craig Pierce was trying to get in touch with me. What a name from my past! Melissa Powers finally contacted me and told me about the web site. I can't get anything done now because I'm too busy checking up on everyone. This is such a blast. It's great to see how everyone has grown up and how WELL WE'VE ALL AGED. I have a few photos I'll get to you soon. I'm going to contact Norma Griffith when she returns from Europe.

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year. It's great that we are finally getting the word around. I would like to see everyone on here. I would also love for everyone who doesn't have a pic on their profile to put one on so we can all see how everyone looks now. I think everyone looks great that has posted pics so far. Also remember we are still looking for senior pics (for nametags), and any school pics you may have so we can share them and make a cd/dvd for everyone to enjoy. If you find some and don't have a way to scan them please lets us know we will be glad to help.

Hey KIM, Mr Westmoreland (LOL)! anyone remember he took his stool home everyday so no one would mess with it, Tony Lee is whom I recall really driving that man crazy!! He greased the class door knob, argued everyday with Westmorland, Randall Rogers stole his pencils everyday, I think Westmoreland thought it was Tracy Blackwell but I'm pretty sure it was Randall! That was a fun year! How bout Mr nichols, he was so gross, does anyone remember? We ran him off too! Randy Earl was his thorn, remember the day he chased Randy all the way to the bus shed where Randys dad was? Those were the days, We might have been a little hard to handle, I mean people that will drink alcohol from a shampoo bottle (SENIOR TRIP)! what can you expect right? thank goodness we have grown up,

01/01/09 07:05 PM #185

Melissa Powers (Sudbery)

I remember poor Mr. Westmoreland and Mr. Nichols... As a high school teacher, I can tell you that being on the receiving end of student pranks isn't much fun (most of the time). But then, they simply didn't know how to manage a classroom. Mrs. Tarver, on the other hand, was great! She'd laugh and joke with us unless we went too far and then she'd nip it in the bud. I'd really like to see her and some of our other former teachers again. (NOT Mr. Westmoreland or Mr. Nichols.)

Sandra, I remember y'all getting busted over the "shampoo" bottles. It held up our trip and I was afraid it was going to be called off. But at least you didn't get kissed in your sleep! I made the awful mistake of napping on the way home. Tragic! Chris Basham (I think) kissed me and Sue Ann (I think) took pictures of it. I never knew anything about it until I got the photos developed. What a shock!!! (Yes, I'll send them to Monica as soon as I can find them.) Of course, neither party would admit to doing anything and the photos are a little blurry... Oh well, such is high school, right? :>

When is the proposed date for the reunion ? - reviewing all the families, it seems July time frame may be best as multitudes still have children in school ...

feedback, please.

Craig Pierce

got a hold of Jimmy Belue - he will register

Scooter Sayers is to get info for Jodi Newcity (his youngest brother is still in contact with her brothers)

Richie Burrows is in Fort Smith, metal works

Wesley Cantrell lives across the street from SSCYO and works at keathley-patterson

David Freeman lives in Greenwood (90% certain)

Travis Hawkins has his own plumbing service and lives in Gwood (I believe) & attends ET church.

PJ Stigler was in FL working for Circuit City in mgmt

Jim Styles still in Gwood.

Sharon Vinson (Howard) lives in Poteau - works at Whirlpool, but not interested.

Alan Qualls - Gwood - UPS for life

James Nichols - Gwood - works ( I believe still) for Trane.

I think Zirbel may still be serving time...

Karen Hutchins is still in FSM/Gwood area, as I see her at her parents house often.

That is all for now, stay tuned.....

Goose

Thanks for the update Craig, Karen Hutchens, Travis Hawkins, and Alan Qualls already know about the site. The last time I talked to David and Mary Zerbel they said Dan was living in Mountainberg, but that was about 5 years ago.
