Our classmate, Stan Robison, has a 14 year old son who is battling cancer. I know Stan would appreciate your prayers. Please see his website www.prayfortravis.com for more information.

Thanks Jennifer. Having sickness in your own life is bad enough but when it happens to your kid it is very frustrating. Most dad's (like me) are fixers. If something is broke in the house we fix it, if there is a family issue, we fix it. When there's nothing you can do within yourself to fix something it is a helpless feeling. God has surrounded us with wonderful people during this time and our son has an incredible spirit about him. The orneriness (I think that's spelled right) and stubborness that I so often fought against while he was growing is now helping him in this fight. Thanks to you who have sent kind words.

Thanks for setting up this site. It's great to hear from others and read what they've been up to. I'm anxious to see everyone next year or sooner if the situation presents itself.

Wow Stan! I had no idea. You were always a super nice guy and are apparently a wonderful husband and father. You and your family will surely be in mine and my husband's thoughts and prayers.

I have read profiles weekly and have enjoyed catching up with everyone, but just decided to click a button I hadn't clicked yet.

Stanley, I will put your son and your family in my prayers everyday. I agree with you, nothing is worse than to be in a situation you cannot fix, and just have to watch it unfold. But I do know God answers and hears our prayers. Much peace and comfort to you and your family, and see stubborness is not always a bad thing. It makes some of us fighters.

Loretta

OK, I found a stack of about 38 senior portraits in my various boxes of unorganized photos. I uploaded most of them...even if the classmate doesn't have a profile created yet. It's possible I have more photos in another box so if yours isn't uploaded yet, please don't be offended...standby.

Emily and Pam Webb have both indicated that Roxanne Yarbrough has been in a coma for the past 4 years in Ft. Smith. If anyone knows how to reach her husband or family, please try to provide us with some more information.

Thanks to Debbie Mullen who found a stack of senior portraits as well. I have added them to profiles already so check for new faces. Thank you Debbie!

Dear Friends, our classmate Ben Caperton had a heart attack on Thursday, Sept. 11th. I had just talked with his mother that day and shared info on the website and reunion to pass along to Ben when he returned home from work. He is currently in the hospital but is doing well and expected to be released shortly. His address is 6718 S. 6th Street, Ft. Smith 72908 if you wish to send him a card. I am sure Ben would appreciate our prayers. "Thank you" to Juanita Smith for providing this update.

I think the "unknown boy" in the picture is Darren Adams. I also think the boy standing in the back over Rodney's left shoulder is Scott Griffith.

Those are my guesses and I'm sticking to them!

I think the first one is Darren Adams, too. It looks alot like his son Ethan. The others I can't really tell.

Ok, I think the first one is Darren too, but the one over Rodney's should is Chris Coan. Do we remember him baby faced? I think he was the first boy who had facial hair, what 7th grade? But look at him through the eyes,I think you might see Chris.

On a side note, does anyone remember Billy Pearcy, and whatever happened to him and Jeff Kitch?

Loretta, you may be right about him being Chris. I didn't do very well identifying the people from last week's football game picture either!!

Jean Ann Plunkett (Sterling)

I think that the first one is Doyle Spires and the one on the back row is Bill Dake.

On a side note, does anyone remember Billy Pearcy, and whatever happened to him and Jeff Kitch?

Billy Pearcy is still in Greenwood. He was married to my ex sister-in-law who passed away in February. According to my nephew, Billy moved back to his mom's a few months ago.
