I plan on being in town this weekend. I will be helping my best friend work the Lawn and Garden show at the Fort Smith Convention Center. So if you are coming out the the Lawn and Garden show, come by and say Hi. His booth is for his company called Curb Creations.

I love those Home & Garden shows! I am currently banned from watching HGTV and the DIY network as my husband is still recovering from a kitchen remodel (They make it look so easy on TV!) Anyway, good luck Paul.

Below is a more current list of the truly missing classmates. For a variety of reasons, some classmates are not participating but we want to make sure everyone is informed and given the option to attend our specatular, shock & awe, never-before-attempted 25 Year Reunion of the GHS Class of 1984 "Second Chances". (Seriously, it will be nice and very tastefully done.)

Cyndee Burns, Karen Byrd, Steve Clayton, Kelly Colburn, Ben Dolan, Robin Lusher, Bernie Otwell, Faron Otwell, William Schiffman. Also Cissy Cox, Mary Lee, Lisa Clem, David Cates, Johnny Barnes, Norvella Ray, Terry Bigler.

I am still looking for someone to provide an '80s mix of music so if anyone wants to volunteer, let me know!

Some of you might not realize you can leave comments on each other's profiles. Go to the very bottom of each classmate profile and you can enter a comment. Each classmate has to enable this feature on their profile so you might want to check yours and update if necessary.

Please remember Debbie Mullen and her family. Debbie's mother passed away this week of cancer. I am sure she would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to Rick Stinebaugh and Jean Ann for finding Steve Clayton. I spoke with him today and will be sending him info about the reunion. (He's an electrician in FSM.)

This has been great talking to some old friends. I haven't seen many of you since high school. I'm am so looking forward to seeing everyone. Still looking for some of "the missing" classmates. Hillary is the only one I've found so far. I know Jarrod Mcclain used to work at St. Edwards. Not sure where he is now. Will keep looking. See you all soon!

Let's see what we can get started. I tried to think of my earliest childhood elementary memories.

1st grade. Mrs. Garner, she was mean. Eddie Boyster didn't want to stay the first week. Jim Bob Peerson's first day and Mrs. Garner was mean to him too. Shannon and Jim Bob are related(cousins)? Bathrooms in the room, back door to the play ground.

2nd grade. Mrs. Zackery, so sweet. Reading about dinosaurs. Learning to read (Dick and Jane)? Was that second grade. Starting brownies. Losing a fist full of hair to Chris Coan as he grabbed while I was running around the monkey bars (I had really long hair back then). Kicking poor Faron Otwell in the shins.

3rd. Mrs. Adam, back to mean again. 1st and only school spanking (something about not moving when I was told too). Lori Hooten moving in. Paul Mitchell and I sat by each other when we sat 2 by 2 (I think).

Who's got more.

4th - Mrs Lewis: sweetest woman ever! We used to have math B's with Mrs Franks' class. My desk was next to the window and looked out over the old football field where there was always something more interesting goin on. Don't think that field is there anymore, is it? We changed classes for reading groups.

5th - We moved across the street to the creepy old bldg. It was the first time to change classes for each subject. My homeroom was Mrs Brody. She used to always tell people to "M.Y.O.B.". Plus, her name used to be Ms Sexton and we couldn't say it without giggling. We had "Little Mrs Fields" for science. She gave me my first and only spanking at school. Justine and I were talking and she told us to stop so we passed a note. That just really made her mad..... We started the Berkley Project that year and dissected a cow's lung. Ewww!

Next....

Justine Bailey, she and I spent the night at her house several times, she didn't sleep away from home well. She lived at the top of water tank hill, we climb up and down that mini cliff more than once and we were in second or third grade. I would have killed my kids for that, but I don't think her mom ever knew. She had five sisters, one of her younger ones pasted away in 2000.

6th grade-- I moved to Greenwood had mrs bridges for english, she never liked me. Shirly Walters for science. somehow she looks the same now as she did then. being in 6th grade homecoming (i think we had to sell tickets or something to get queen? anyone remember that?) hahaha Tracy Harris and i in the talent show doing a dance(if u can call it that) routine to the theme from star wars. hahaha dont laugh to much i think others out there were in that "Talent" show also.
I think Mitzi, Theresa, and Kelly Davis did the electric slide (i have a picture to prove it) and Richard staton and a group of boys did Tom Sawyer skit

and how could i forget being a batan twirler (me and Judy Smoot and maybe Lynette? we were the "Minorettes"

I remember "the film" in 5th grade....girls only in the auditorium to learn about the basics of life. I am sure the boys had one too the next hour. Also, wearing the name bracelet of the one "you were going with". I remember having to read aloud in Mrs. Kennedy's geography class (in that separate building next to the Dinner Bell)....I couldn't pronounce Czechoslavakia so every time I came to that word, Mitzi would voice it for me.

7th Grade - I am bad remembering teacher names but I remember the 7th Grade Geography Teacher would wear these ugly florescent green pants that came above her ankles.

8th Grade - I remember the math teacher(again I can't remember her name) getting so made with our class that she slammed her arm down and broke the overhead projector.

I was in Mrs. Fields, now why I can remember her name, first grade class and I remember that one of our classmates that I believe ended up moving away after first or second grade would always be picked up 10 to 20 minutes early each day by her dad.

I remember getting to go and get the crate of chocalate milk for everyone who paid their .05. I can't remember what grade that we did that in.

Nope, our 8th grade math teacher was Ms Childers. She had a really bad temper. I'll never forget her breaking the glass in that overhead projector.

Suzie Wallace (Stovall)

i dont even remember a Mrs Childers but i dont remember a lot of things

No, Jennifer, the boys never did have "The Secret Class" and none of the girls would ever say what it was about. Your post is when I finally found out what it was. Yes, Mrs. Childers' temper could flare up fast. She hated to be corrected by an eight grader, but it was fun when the opportunity presented itself. I don't remember exactly how many extra homework problems I got for getting a dictionary and showing her that there were two pronunciations for kilometer. One more thing, was there any boy who didn't have a crush on Mrs. Eden in 7th grade?
